My research focuses on social psychology and industrial/organizational psychology, with particular emphasis on promoting the well-being of individuals and organizations and examining its impact. My research can be broadly categorized into the following three themes.
Research Theme 1: Enhancing Individual Well-being
Drawing on insights from positive psychology and industrial/organizational psychology, I develop and evaluate integrated intervention programs designed to enhance individual well-being.
- Developing and validating systems that utilize psychological assessments and generative AI to promote self-understanding.
- Developing and evaluating intervention programs that enhance well-being and self-efficacy by helping individuals better understand themselves and leverage their personal strengths.
- Developing and evaluating life design programs that help individuals create meaningful and coherent life plans based on self-understanding and strengths, leading to more fulfilling lives.
- Detailed materials are currently under preparation. Please feel free to contact me if you would like an overview of our current work.
Research Theme 2: Enhancing Organizational Well-being, Work Engagement, and Innovation
I develop and evaluate integrated intervention programs designed to improve organizational well-being, work engagement, innovation, and overall organizational performance.
- Developing and validating organizational surveys that visualize the current state of organizations.
- Developing and evaluating innovation processes centered on human capital and psychological capital to identify the root causes of organizational challenges.
- Developing and evaluating intervention programs to address identified challenges, including initiatives to improve work engagement and organizational trust.
- Developing and validating evaluation frameworks for assessing the effectiveness of organizational interventions.
- Developing practical services for recruitment, talent development, and career transition based on these research findings (currently being conducted through collaborative research projects).
Research Theme 3: Improving Healthcare and Communities through Well-being
- Investigating how purpose in life, social support, and other psychological factors contribute to healthy aging and the maintenance of quality of life among older adults.
- Examining how social capital—including trust and well-being—contributes to economic growth and sustainable development in communities and organizations.
